Bob Bloom is a Director at BDO USA, LLP, one of the nation’s leading accounting, tax and advisory organizations. He serves principally in BDO’s nonprofit assurance practice. Previously, Mr. Bloom was a Senior manager at Marcum LLP (formerly Raffa PC).
Earlier, from 1993 to 2004, Mr. Bloom served as vice president of finance for technology companies, a venture capital fund, and a pharmacy benefit manager, and was an interim CFO of a not-for-profit organization. He worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was one of the industry leaders in the not-for-profit practice in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Bloom has more than 35 years of financial advisory experience. His clients have included community-based organizations; foundations; private schools; trade associations; research and cultural organizations, including state and local government; and related retirement plan systems. He is a certified public accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the state of Maryland and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He serves as the treasurer for Tzedek DC and Vice President Finance and a member of the Board of Directors of Jewish Foundation for Group Homes. He earned a B.B.A in accounting from George Washington University.
